For over 30 years, Kaleidoscope was more than just a television show, it was a platform for Omaha’s Black voices, a record of our struggles, triumphs, and contributions to history. Through in-depth conversations, we brought powerful stories to the forefront, featuring legends like Tony Brown, John Beasley, Thomas Harvey and so many more. These weren’t just interviews; they were lessons in resilience, leadership, and the fight for progress.

But here’s the reality, much of this history almost disappeared. Kaleidoscope was archived on old TV tapes, never digitized, never uploaded, and nearly lost to time. And that raises an urgent question: How much Black history remains hidden, unshared, and at risk of being forgotten?

We have a responsibility to preserve our stories, to make sure future generations know where we’ve been so they can shape where we’re going. That’s what my campaign is about, protecting the past while building a better future. Affordable housing, economic opportunity, and strong communities don’t happen without leadership that understands the depth of our history.

I’m stepping up to serve again because our work isn’t done. Let’s protect our legacy and keep pushing forward, together.

Join me in this fight. Donate, volunteer, and most importantly, Vote! Our history deserves a future.
